Courses and Syllabus

Amalambika Convent Higher Secondary School has classes from LKG to +2 with a curriculum having continuity and depth, aiding the students in their full fledged development.  Besides, we also have a play school aiming at the  Pre KG section called Kids World.

The school offers a wide range of options in selection of groups, languages, projects and choice of subjects. Computer applications, Economic applications, Environmental applications etc. and languages like Hindi, Malayalam, and Tamil are but some of the options.


The school is affiliated to ICSE and ISC for up to 10th and +2 respectively.

The syllabus has always been a pace setter for educational quality. Here the skills and creativity of the students are given greater emphasis. The credibility, reliability and creativity of the syllabus enables the students to place themselves suitably on the emerging global platform thereby making themselves accessible to the best Universities anywhere. English is the mandated medium of instruction. This is keeping in mind the growth of IT and Services industry globally, and in particular, in India. A strong grounding in English is absolutely essential in successfully communicating and interacting with one's peers and in understanding modern trends.

The school is at pace with the developments and has qualified, well trained, dedicated and efficient teachers to guide the students. The syllabus encourages free thinking, and active involvement in the learning experience. Greater emphasis is given to finding practical solutions to problems and projects and research on the same is awarded up to 20% of the marks through internal assessment. The syllabus aims at the all-round development of the students to enable them to face the world beyond the school gate with utmost confidence.

The school follows Indian School Certificate (ISC) curriculum for the +1 and +2. This enables the students to have an in-depth understanding of the subject studied and its nuances. This is one of the most preferred syllabus, on par with the best, anywhere in the world.

Here too we offer the students a choice of the stream of education, which he or she would like to choose. The choice can be between Commerce and Science (Maths or Biology), with English, Computers, and Environmental education being compulsory.
